[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_3,1_3,1_3″ _builder_version=”4.1″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.1″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_blurb title=”# 1 Prepare the Area.” use_icon=”on” font_icon=”%%360%%” icon_color=”#ffffff” use_circle=”on” circle_color=”#0c71c3″ _builder_version=”4.1″ header_font=”Georgia|600|||||||” header_text_color=”#0c71c3″ body_font=”Georgia||||||||” body_font_size=”15px” text_orientation=”center” global_colors_info=”{}”]

First prepare the surface for application by cleaning the surface, either with a damp cloth or alcohol. Make sure to remove any dust particles still on the surface. It is important to get rid of any dirt or oil, else that wall decal will stick to it instead of the surface.

Do not apply the wall decals on a newly painted surface, leave for 6 weeks to dry.

[/et_pb_blurb][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.1″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_blurb title=”# 2 Prepare the Decal.” use_icon=”on” font_icon=”%%360%%” icon_color=”#ffffff” use_circle=”on” circle_color=”#0c71c3″ _builder_version=”4.1″ header_font=”Georgia|600|||||||” header_text_color=”#0c71c3″ body_font=”Georgia||||||||” body_font_size=”15px” text_orientation=”center” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Grab the decal and lay it on a flat surface. Using a credit card smoothen any wrinkles that may be on the decal. Flip it over and repeat the process. If the decal curls up you can use books to weigh it down. All of this is in order to ensure the decal is stuck to the transfer tape that will make applying wall decal easier.

[/et_pb_blurb][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.1″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_blurb title=”# 3 Begin placing the Decal.” use_icon=”on” font_icon=”%%360%%” icon_color=”#ffffff” use_circle=”on” circle_color=”#0c71c3″ _builder_version=”4.1″ header_font=”Georgia|600|||||||” header_text_color=”#0c71c3″ body_font=”Georgia||||||||” body_font_size=”15px” text_orientation=”center” custom_padding=”||0px|||” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Now you are ready to begin placing the decal. Start by slowly removing the back end of the decal. Make sure every single detail from the design sticks to the transfer tape. You may do it in parts to ensure perfect positioning on the surface.

Stick the transfer tape to your surface of choice. Make sure to do it slowly and carefully to again ensure the positioning of the design.

[/et_pb_blurb][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.1″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_blurb title=”# 5 Application Tools.” use_icon=”on” font_icon=”%%360%%” icon_color=”#ffffff” use_circle=”on” circle_color=”#0c71c3″ _builder_version=”4.1″ header_font=”Georgia|600|||||||” header_text_color=”#0c71c3″ body_font=”Georgia||||||||” body_font_size=”15px” text_orientation=”center” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Once the design is on the surface use a credit card and with a little bit of force push the transfer tape onto the wall to ensure the design securely sticks to the wall. Wait about 5-10 minutes before removing the transfer tape. You do not need any fancy tool to apply wall decals properly, a credit card with do the trick just fine.

Additional tips for applying wall decals

Sometimes the paper backing can stick to a piece of the decal. Most people know how to apply wall decals but do not know how to deal with such a mess. Fortunately, the solution is easy. Simply dampen a paper towel with water and use it to release the decal from the paper backing.

Keep in mind that it will be difficult to adjust the position of the decal once it sticks to the surface. This is why we recommend you use light markings to position the wall decal correctly. Once you have finally marked the correct position for the decal, you can untape it to apply.
